heathers: the musical (February 2017 & Stages May 2017)
Our debut production, Heathers: The Musical went up at The Bus Stop Theatre in February 2017. Due the overwhelming success of that week of shows, we were asked to remount the show at the 2017 Stages Festival presented by Eastern Front Theatre - the inaugural company for the Emerging Performances Stage, where we enjoyed another sold-out run.
Based on the classic 1989 film, Westerberg High is ruled by a shoulder-padded, scrunchie-wearing trio: Heather, Heather and Heather - the hottest and cruelest girls in all of Ohio. But misfit Veronica Sawyer rejects their evil regime for a new boyfriend, the dark and sexy stranger J.D., who plans to put the Heathers in their place - six feet under. Sexy, sassy and laugh-out-loud funny, Heathers: The Musical will blow you away.
We were thrilled to be supporting Phoenix Youth Programs with this production. We committed to donating a portion of every ticket to the incredible work they do with the at-risk youth of Halifax and were able to donate $500.
